FILLING APPLICATIONS
As a result of the collapse of the facial bone structure and the reduction of fat and connective tissue over time, volume loss occurs in our face. Wrinkles, sagging and folds begin to form on the skin. Especially sagging on the lower face makes the person look older than they are. However, these effects can be reversed with the development of fillings that are fully compatible with human connective tissue. Today, there are a wide variety of fillers according to the needs of the person and the area to be applied. These fillers act by giving volume to the injected area. It is also used to correct existing asymmetries. The desired effect can be increased proportionally to the filling.
There are permanent, semi-permanent and temporary fillings available today. Synthetic materials in permanent fillings are not compatible with the human body and are not used today.
The most widely used fillers are FDA-approved, non-animal, human connective tissue compatible and highly reliable hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide found in human connective tissue and its main purpose is to create volume by holding water. The decrease in skin density with aging causes wrinkles and sagging. With hyaluronic acid fillers, the substance that already exists in the person's own body is injected and no allergic reaction is observed.
Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) fillers are more concentrated fillers. They last longer by stimulating collagen production. After about 4-6 weeks, a significant effect is seen with the start of collagen production.
